Symposium on Transformation Groups
For the memory of late Prof. Katsuo Kawakubo

Prof. Katsuo Kawakubo of Osaka University passed of cancer on April 24, 1999, when he was 56 years old --- it was an unexpected sorrow. He had studied Mathematics for more than 30 years, particularly Transformation Groups, and presented us remarkable results. He also had contributed to the development of mathematical society with his warm personality. We, his friends and disciples, will hold the symposium to express our hearty gratitude to him.
